Math: **We are beginning Subtraction Subtraction-Drawing a Picture Strategy- The strategy posters are in your email attachment. Please print this file and use for the strategies that will be taught Please watch “Subtraction using pictures” instructional video. This will be on seesaw as part of the assignment and complete the subtraction activity. Reading: Please watch the video: “Avid Readers Just-Right Words” which will be posted on seesaw. Then complete the activity below. When we read a fiction book, we can identify the characters in the book. Choose a picture book. Read the book or have someone read it to you. Then look at each picture and think, “What might the character be thinking or feeling?” ▪ Use a post it note or a piece of paper and draw a picture of the character and the face they are making ▪ Think of a “Just-Right” word to describe how the character is feeling and write it on the sticky note with the character. Phonics: Login to Seesaw and watch the video lesson on Word Endings –ing, -ang, -ong, and –ung. Then record yourself reading the words to your teacher! Writing Today, you will write the first fact page for your all about book. Pick one fact about your topic to write about in a full sentence. Make sure that your draw a detailed, labeled picture to match. Health Sign into SeeSaw using your Classlink login or QR code. Go to the activities tab and find the assignment below. Create a goal that will help you stay healthy; example- I will eat more fruits or vegetables, I will use good listening skills, When I brush my teeth, I will brush for two minutes, etc. Additional/Optional 20 minutes of iRead/20 minutes of iReady Math
