Today is Earth Day! Math: Make your own Earth Day subtraction problem and practice the “draw a picture” strategy you did yesterday. Post a video of yourself saying it and solving it on seesaw using the strategy. For example: There were 6 recyclable cups on the counter. I put two in the recycling bin. How many did I have left to recycle? Reading: Find a book about Earth Day on RAZ Kids or Epic Books. Write down 2 things you can do to help the Earth. Phonics: On Seesaw, find the activity Earth Day Syllables. Listen to the story, then sort the Earth Day words by how many syllables they have. Writing: What do you love most about our Earth? Write your opinion and draw a picture to show your thinking. Science: Go on a hunt in your house for things you can recycle. Use tallies to keep track of your data. Post your data on Seesaw when you complete the activity. Additional/Optional: 20 minutes of iRead/20 minutes of iReady Math
